Pay what you like at Worthing's next home match
Worthing Football Club will allow supporters to pay what they want for entry into their next home match.
AFC Sudbury travel to Woodside Road on Saturday, April 1 for a Ryman League Premier Division clash with fans’ able to pay whatever fee they wish at the turnstiles. Worthing currently have the third highest step-three level average attendance with chairman George Dowell seeing this gesture as a thanks for the support all season. He said: “The supporters have been phenomenal this season. After a long spell out of the Ryman Premier Division, it’s certainly been a rollercoaster season but the supporters have backed the team through thick and thin. “This just a small gesture of the club’s appreciation of that unwavering support.” Having been involved with Eastbourne Borough, Havant & Waterlooville, Sutton United to name a few at non-league level, Worthing joint manager manager feels the club’s fanbase is one of the best he’s seen at this level. Elphick said: “It’s a chance for the club to say thanks for the support the season. Worthing has one of the best fanbases I’ve seen in my time in non-league football - they’ve been great in my time here, so this is just giving something back to them.” Don’t miss out on all the latest breaking news where you live.
