On Monday, work will begin to install a 3G surface at the club, with Rebels hoping to attract high-profile opposition for the opening match when the surface is fully in place.

He will be at the club from 1pm to 5pm and anyone who would like a souvenir piece of turf is welcome to go to the ground.

Rebels have issued an open invitation to all past players to attend Saturday’s final game on grass. The club hope Ray Knight, Vince Taylor and Geoff Raynsford, among others, will join them at the game.
