REBELS fans will have the chance to get a souvenir piece of Woodside Road turf on Sunday afternoon.
Worthing Football Club play their final home game on grass on Saturday, when the team host Whyteleafe in the Ryman League South Division.
On Monday, work will begin to install a 3G surface at the club, with Rebels hoping to attract high-profile opposition for the opening match when the surface is fully in place.
Rebels president Morty Hollis is giving fans the chance to get a piece of Woodside Road history on Sunday.
He will be at the club from 1pm to 5pm and anyone who would like a souvenir piece of turf is welcome to go to the ground.
Rebels have issued an open invitation to all past players to attend Saturday’s final game on grass. The club hope Ray Knight, Vince Taylor and Geoff Raynsford, among others, will join them at the game.
