Rebels downed by leaders Dulwich

A strong second-half showing from league leaders Dulwich Hamlet saw them beat Worthing Football Club 4-1 this afternoon at Woodside Road.

Hamlet’s Erhun Oztumer bagged a hat-trick as they hit back from a goal down after Jamie Brotherton’s 21st-minute strike.

Oztumer finished well from close range four minutes before half-time, and the visitors led within two minutes of the second half.

The same man finished into an empty net after a defensive mistake by Josh Bryant.

Nyren Clunis put the Ryman League Division 1 South leaders further ahead on 59 minutes, and, although Luke Hickie was sent off after picking up a second yellow two minutes later, Oztumer completed his hat-trick with seven minutes remaining.

Rebels joint boss Lee Brace said: “It’s my first real disappointing day since I took over, really.

“The most disappointing one I suppose, it’s the manner of it , two silly goals have cost us.”
