WORTHING Football Club were denied their first win of the season on Saturday (August 17) by a last-minute Herne Bay equaliser.
The late leveller meant Rebels drew 2-2 at home in the Ryman League South Division.
The visitors went ahead through Sam Hasler on 33 minutes but an own goal levelled the score on 64 minutes.
Luke Gedling gave Worthing the lead with 15 minutes to go, before Herne Bay snatched a late point.
Rebels’ next match is away to Chipstead on Tuesday.
