WORTHING Football Club will resume some old rivalries as well as taking on new faces in the Ryman League South Division next season.

The Football Association released their constitution for Steps 1 to 4 of the non-league ladder on Thursday which indicates next year’s league make-up.

The list, which is subject to any appeals, confirms newly-promoted East Grinstead, South Park and Whyteleafe will join the division for the 2014-15 campaign, along with relegated Premier Division side Carshalton Athletic.

South Park join as Combined Counties League champions and Whyteleafe come in as Southern Counties East League winners. East Grinstead, who finished runners-up in Division 1 of the Sussex County Football League, have been promoted in place of champions East Preston, whose ground failed the end-of-March grading.

Fellow Sussex side, Redhill, who finished third from bottom in the South Division last season, have been handed a reprieve, although Crawley Down Gatwick and Eastbourne Town have been relegated, and will return to Step 5 and play in the Sussex County League.

Relegated Conference South sides Hayes & Yeading United and Tonbridge Angels join the Ryman League Premier Division, along with internally-promoted Peacehaven & Telscombe, VCD Athletic, Leatherhead and Witham Town.

In a further shake-up down the ladder at Step 5, SCFL clubs Lingfield and Crowborough Athletic, along with Combined Counties League side Croydon, have all been moved to the Southern Counties East League – previously the Kent League.
