Rebels striker Clack makes England Colleges debut

WORTHING Football Club’s Josh Clack is celebrating making his England Colleges debut.

The 18-year-old striker, pictured left, came on as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Wales at The New Saints’ ground on Monday. But, after impressing coaches at a series of trials and a Lilleshall training camp, he is set for more action with the national side over the next few months.

He is in line to feature against a Welsh Colleges team next month and will be in the squad for a tournament in Italy, involving England, Slovenia, Poland and the host nation.

Clack said: “I did well at the trials and was really pleased to get in the squad of 18 for the year. Although we lost in Wales, I thought I did okay and I’m looking forward to the next game. I want to go all the way in football and make a career of it.”

Clack, who attends Chichester College, has made a number of substitute appearances for Worthing this season and has scored 10 goals in six games for the youth team, who play in the Ryman Youth League.
