Rebels stunned by Ramsgate fight back

WORTHING Football Club were victims of a Ramsgate smash and grab in a 2-1 defeat at Woodside Road this afternoon.

Rams came from a goal behind with two strikes in three minutes late on in the match to keep their chase of a Ryman League Division 1 South play-off spot alive.

Rebels, who dominated the game, had led through a well-worked Mark Pulling goal just after the start of the second half, but Rams hit back as Mark Lovell converted a penalty on 79-minutes while James Gregory produced an exquisite lobbed finish three minutes later to pinch the points.

Worthing now must pick themselves up for a trip to local-rivals Bognor on Monday afternoon.
