WORTHING Football Club twice came back from a goal down to draw 2-2 at bottom-of-the-table Three Bridges on Tuesday evening.
Bridges went into the Ryman League Division 1 South game on the back of a 4-1 win at home to Horsham on Saturday and went ahead after 17 minutes through a Elliott Romain header.
Jamie Brotherton drew Rebels level with a cool finish for his ninth goal of the season 10 minutes later but Bridges were back ahead by half-time as Joel O’Hara headed home.
Scott Kirkwood levelled from the penalty spot on 61 minutes, after deciding with Billy Medlock that he would take it, following a foul.
Rebels finished the game with 10 men as Kirkwood was sent off late on for two bookings.
Worthing joint boss Kieran Collins said: “We’re happy with the point but, with our football content, could have come out with all three.
“We’ll take a draw after the result on Saturday (5-2 defeat at Tooting) and we got the response that we’d asked for as every single player put in a shift.”
Rebels entertain Folkestone in the league on Saturday. (3pm). Adults can watch the game for the reduced price of £5, while under-16s are free with a paying adult.
