The 19-year-old has been selected by the Black Stars for their upcoming 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe on March 25 and 28.

Poku is the second ex-Worthing star to receive their maiden international call-up, following the announcement that former defender Fin Steven was named in Wales' under-21 squad on Tuesday.

Poku netted twice in 12 appearances for Adam Hinshelwood's men during the 2018-19 campaign before joining League Two-outfit Colchester United in May 2019.

The starlet has so far made 60 appearances in all competitions for the U's, scoring five goals.
