Sidley eyeing Peacehaven double

Sidley United will be in Sussex County Football League Division One action tonight (Tuesday).

The Blues will be looking to do the double over Peacehaven & Telscombe following their impressive 2-0 win in the away fixture during August.

Sidley are 11th in the table with 23 points from 19 games, while Peacehaven are ninth with 26 from 17. Sidley will not overtake their opponents, however, unless they win by a near impossible 10-goal margin.

John Lambert’s side will be hoping to reproduce the performance, if not the result, from Saturday’s 4-2 loss away to unbeaten leaders Crawley Down.

Harry Killick will return in goal following a one-match suspension and there is a chance that captain Danny Spice may be back from injury, but Nick Whiteman is still banned. Kick-off at Gullivers is 7.45pm.
