That follows a friendly against Hampshire in late-March and the university match against Loughborough MCCU at Hove between April 1-3.

The first one-day action of the season will take place on May 16 when neighbours Surrey will be the visitors to Hove in the newly-named NatWest T20 Blast, ahead of the Sharks taking on tourists Sri Lanka for an afternoon T20 match on May 18.

The T20 group stages run across the months of May, June and July, with the knockout stages taking place in August.

The Arundel Festival of Cricket is in mid-June when Ed Joyce’s side kick-off with a T20 clash against Somerset on June 15, before a County Championship affair with Yorkshire from June 16-19.

The Horsham Festival follows in July as Warwickshire visit Cricket Field Road in the County Championship, and Nottinghamshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup, the new 50-over competition.

Three more 50-over matches will follow at Hove during August, before four-day cricket returns in September as newly-promoted Lancashire are the opponents, which is the last home action of the season.
