Swans beat Wick on penalties to set up tie with Hawks

STORRINGTON Football Club will host Conference South Whitehawk in the second round of the Sussex Senior Cup after a penalty shoot-out win at Wick & Barnham United last night.

Swans won 6-5 on penalties after the game had finished 3-3 after extra-time.

Ben Anderton struck after seven and 16 minutes to give Wick a 2-0 lead but Guy Strudwick pulled a goal back for Swans on 21 minutes.

Richard Boxall restored Wick’s two-goal lead on 57 minutes but Iain Jarvie made it 3-2 on 83 minutes. An own goal moments later levelled the score and the game finished 3-3.

Neither side was able to find a winner in extra-time and Swans progressed on spot-kicks.
