The match - to be played at Brighton’s Aldridge Community Academy - will be the first time the Giants have appeared in the final following five consecutive semi-final defeats.

The Giants have overcome the likes of league champions Brighton Cougars and local rivals Eastbourne Hotshots to reach the final. It will be a tough task for Bexhill, however, as they were beaten in a league encounter with the Tropics, who finished one place behind them in third.

The season began with the Giants hosting and winning the ADA Invitational Tournament. They’ve also raised awareness and funds for their dedicated charity Kidney Research UK, and their training sessions have seen a number of younger players getting involved in the club. In fact, the Giants are looking to add a junior section to their ranks next season.

Giants chairman Eric Douglin said: “We are really looking forward to the final as it gives us a great opportunity to raise the profile of the club. Reaching the final is a testament to the hard work everyone has put in.” Tip-off is 4.30pm and admission is free.
