Lady golfers retain Arun League Trophy

Worthing Golf Club’s ladies have won the Arun League Trophy for the third year in a row, beating teams from Bognor, Ham Manor and Littlehampton in the winter foursomes competition.

The event was started in 1995 by former Ham Manor and Littlehampton member Elaine Baker to create an opportunity for players at all levels to compete together.

Teams of six pairs play each of the other clubs on three days during the winter, with both a home and away match.

The final matches were played on Monday with Worthing the victors with a closing score of 22 points. Ham Manor were second with 19 points, Bognor Regis scored 16 and Littlehampton 15.
