Tarver-Jones enjoyed a successful first year on the EuroPro Tour and was also named rookie of the year, which is an award for the leading newcomer.

He won the WPT Invitational at Prince’s Golf Club in Kent and then a EuroPro title at Oxfordshire Golf Club back-to-back in August and has just returned from the final tournament in Egypt.

Tarver-Jones said: “My plan is to play on the European Tour in 2016 and I have achieved my first step by finishing in the top five in my first season on the EuroPro Tour, in a field of well over 150 golf professionals.

“My next goal is to finish in the top 15 in the 2015 Challenge Tour, which covers 26 tournaments across Europe, Asia and Africa in under 30 weeks.

“Each tournament is played over four days and it is going to be very tough when you take into account the physical effort, coming up against more experienced players and courses that I have not played before. However, I have had a great season and am very happy with my game and preparation.

“Mentally, I love the challenge and in winning two pro tournaments and one pro-am tournament this season, I know that I can hold my game together when I am under the spotlight.”

Tarver-Jones will be working hard with his team over the next two months to secure the finances he needs for him and his caddie to travel and compete in the 2015 Tour. In January, he leaves for Spain for three months of intense preparation and to acclimatise to the conditions and courses.

He said: “I am excited that I am progressing towards my dreams exactly how I plan to be, and can feel myself growing in confidence, which in the game of golf is extremely important.

“I went to Egypt to do a job, did it and have come back invigorated and really driven for next year.”
