But star of the show is likely to be Charlotte Dale, a 20 year-old runner from Kent who burst onto the distance scene after recording the 6th fastest time of last year in her first ever race - just 20 seconds slower than the best time.

The race starts at 11am at the William Parker Athletic Arena and takes in a marked road course around the town before finishing back at the running track.

There is also a 2km race for under 16s starting at 9.45am and a 800m race for the under 10s at 9.30am.

Spaces are filling up fast and local runners are advised to get their entry forms in as soon as possible.
