H&B in title showdown
HASTINGS & Bexhill visit leaders Uckfield on Saturday January 4 in a game which could ultimately decide the Sussex One rugby title.
This will be the biggest test of the season for H&B who lie in second place, three points off top spot.
The corresponding fixture finished in an 8-8 stalemate earlier in the campaign and assistant coach Rob Hamilton knows it will be close again this time. "We are trying to play down the importance of the game but we can't," he said.
"If we are going to win this division then we have to win on Saturday. It's a big ask because we do not normally do well at Uckfield, but we know we are capable of beating them."
