"But we must now put our focus firmly on winning on Saturday at leaders Holcombe to take the initiative in the league.

"Chris Wheeldon was fantastic in both games. It's great to have people like him, who are happy to give up their time to play in these important games."

Worthing remain second in the league after their win over Crawley, three points behind leaders Holcombe 2nd with a game in hand.

Wheeldon made two excellent saves on Saturday before Worthing took control and led 4-0 at half-time through goals from Chris Marr, Rob Lowe, Ginnaw and Ansell.
