LATE GOALS PLEASE THEN FRUSTRATE EP

STEVE WEBB'S goal five minutes into injury time robbed East Preston of a point at Worthing United on Saturday.

Webb struck from close-range with EP pushing for a winner they felt they deserved.

EP boss Mark Chaplin said: "We were a bit flat in the first half, but in the second half we were on top and pushing for the winner but they caught us on the break.

"If we are not careful, our target of a top-six finish could get out of reach. We need to have a good run-in, and make sure we do what we need to until the last game of the season."

Webb had given United the lead in the 47th minute from a goalmouth scramble, before EP substitute Chris Couzens equalised.

Couzens linked well with Josh Biggs and then fired into the bottom left-hand corner from 18 yards.

Chris Hibberd went close to giving EP a 2-1 lead but lifted the ball over United keeper Dean Fuller only for it to hit the bar, and Dave Walker was twice narrowly off target.
