Long trip brings reward

WICK Football Club returned from their long Easter Monday trek to Sidley with three points after twice coming from behind to win 3-2.

After leaving Wick at 9.15am for a noon kick-off, things were even in the first half but Sidley took the lead five minutes before half-time.

Two minutes later, though, Wick were level. Asa Nicholson crossed for Grant Vanson to head home his fifth goal of the season.

Sidley regained their lead five minutes after half-time but Wick again responded quickly. Sidley's keeper missed his kick and Phil Turner found Tom Manton, who slotted home his 11th goal of the season.

Wick got the winner on 60 minutes. Nicholson was again the provider, this time for Aaron Meehan to net.

Sidley piled on the pressure in the last 10 minutes and hit the bar but Wick held on for the win.
