Maxwell wins Excelsior's latest time trial

Worthing Excelsior Cycling Club's Dominic Maxwell made his return to secure top spot in the Don Lock Memorial Evening 10 series last week.

Maxwell, who was making his first appearance in the series, was a clear victor. His time of 22min 11sec was just under a minute faster than second-placed Rick Hughes, who completed the course in 23-09.

Trevor Leeding and Schaeff Potter finished joint third in 23-13.

This weekend sees the Sussex Cycling Association Championship 10 and 25 mile events, with Excelsior have fielding a strong side as they look to repeat last season’s successes.
