CHARLIE Kennard won the Worthing youth table tennis singles title in the spring term finals day on Saturday.
Charlie, the number three seed, defeated number one seed Alex Fox 11-8, 12-14 13-11, 11-7 in the final. In the semi-finals, Charlie had beaten Daniel Kent 11-8, 11-7 and Alex had overcome Louis Morthill 11-9, 11-8.
In the Plate final, Sachin Othendee defeated Jake Austin 13-11, 11-8.
Ray Forder presented trophies and certificates to all the players as 29 took part in the singles championship.
The doubles winners were James de Silva and Billie O’Loughlin and the handicap winner was Ryan Baguley.
In the league season, the Division One winners were the “Jim Bob” team of Daniel Kent and Wesley Stoner.
The “M&L” team of Louis Morthill and Mitchell Goatcher were the Division Two champions, with “Crazy Bananas” – Sam Williamson and Sachin Othendee – the Division Three victors.
Hugo Okada and Alex Broadhurst –“Purple Ice” – were the Division Four winners.
The next league starts on May 3 and finishes on July 19.
