GOODWOOD stage the first of their two family race days of 2011 on Monday, May 30 – and the Worthing Herald is joining in the fun.
Johnston Press, who own the newspaper and many others across Sussex, have teamed up with the racecourse for the big occasion, which will see thousands of racing fans and families flock to the popular course.
Races will be named after our papers – including one dedicated to the Herald – and readers will be able to take advantage of some great deals to get money off admission.
To complement some fantastic flat racing, the racecourse will be transformed into a wonderland of excitement with free children’s activities, including circus workshops, fairground rides, children’s races, giveaways and dance-a-longs.
There is also a supervised playground and a crèche to leave the little ones, while the adults enjoy the top class racing. All accompanied children under-18 receive free admission.
Goodwood are offering readers of the Herald series the opportunity to purchase a family ticket for £24 – this includes two Gordon Enclosure tickets which are normally £19 each. Visit www.goodwood.co.uk and and enter the code JPFUN2011 at checkout.
The offer closes at midnight on May 29 and a maximum of four tickets per household are available.
The race line-up on the day comprises the Chichester Observer Selling Stakes, The News Veteran Stakes Handicap, West Sussex County Times on The House Stakes, Worthing Herald Maiden Auction Stakes Handicap, Bognor Regis Observer Stakes Handicap and the West Sussex Gazette Stakes Handicap.
