The photo was sent in by Graham Forshaw, of Parklands Avenue, Goring, who is pictured sixth from left.

Graham said: “The pavilion in the background was made from old railway carriages.

“It was burnt down and replaced with a concrete/brick pavilion in the 1960s.”

The photo was taken at a match against Broadwater, and Graham believes it was between 1954 and 1958.

The names of the people in the photo are as follows, from left to right – Umpire Len Hewitt; Albert “Biggy” Fry; Adrian Bonnetti; Nobby Clark; Phil Akeham; Graham Forshaw; Jimmy Green; Peter Steele; Bob Steele; John Steele; Cecil Mitchell.

Graham is not certain that the cricketer fifth from right is Phil Akeham, and thinks the player obscured behind Jimmy Green might be called Harold, but is unsure of his surname.

If you can remember Harold’s surname, please get in touch.
