Shirley Harding (née Muskett), who used to work at the hotel, has written in to offer what information she remembers about the people in the photo.

She said: “I went to work at Warnes Hotel in 1964, starting as the switchboard operator and gradually working my way into the reception office.

“By the time I left I was second head receptionist.”

On the second row she named Mr Treadaway, the assistant manager, as the man on the far left.

Shirley added: “Fifth from left was the wine waiter; seventh from left was a hall porter; eighth from the left was the night porter; and tenth from left is Patricia Roman.

On the back row Shirley named Mr Clarke, a floor waiter, as the man on the far left, and Bob, a staff room waiter, to his right.

Finally, on the far right was Charlie, a kitchen porter.
