Outsiders enjoy good start and finish at Fontwell

Conor Quish and Sussex jockey Leighton Aspell began and ended Fontwell's seven-race card with a flourish on Friday afternoon.

Quish rode Kusadiki to victory for trainer Emma Lavelle in the first after going off at 12/1 while Aspell, from Pulborough, took victory in the last aboard 14/1 shot Financial Climate for Oliver Sherwood.

The five races in between all went to favourites or second favourites, with up-and-coming jockey Rachael Green enjoying another Fontwell win to add to the two she recorded at the two-day festival a month ago.

Sadly there was no success for any of our tips on this website - apart from a third for Kanturk.

Fontwell next races on Sunday, November 13, when the Southern National is the feature race on 999 Family Day.
