Raiders comfortably beaten by Park

WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club suffered a disappointing 48-17 defeat at Rosslyn Park in National 1 this afternoon.

Rob Smith crossed for Raider to pull a try back, but a line-out error saw the hosts put down a converted try.

Simon Gaynor pulled another try back and a successful conversion from Joe Govett got the score back to 17-12.

Park, however, immediately hit back and added another five points before the break.

A penalty try and another score gave Park a 34-12 lead in the second half, before Dan Sargent crossed for Raiders.

The hosts, however, added another two converted tries before full-time for a comfortably victory.
