WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club captain Matt Miles wants his side to remain positive as they head into another tough home game on Saturday.
After a disappointing 37-31 defeat at Tynedale at the weekend, Raiders host Esher at Roundstone Lane on Saturday.
The high-flying visitors are in fifth place and have won five of their six National 1 matches this season, while Raiders have lost five of their six matches and sit sixth from bottom.
Miles said: “It’s going to be another tough game but we’ve just got to go out and be positive.
“We can’t go into our shells and have got to keep our chins up.
“We’ve come up into a hard league and we’ve got to remember that, although we’re not the finished article, we’re still a very good side.
“The positive in our losses is that we’re losing by small margins, while we still have a number of players to come back into the team as well.”
Raiders’ trip to Tynedale on Saturday scrubbed another long trip off their fixture list.
They have already done four of their six over-night stays this season, and the trips to Hull Ionians and Blaydon will also be out of the way before Christmas.
