Six-week matchday coaching ban for Dawson
WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club head coach Kieron Dawson has received a six-week suspension from matchday coaching activities.
Dawson appeared before a RFU disciplinary panel in London on Tuesday evening. He admitted a charge of conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union and/or game in the National 1 match against Wharfedale on April 26, by verbally using and/or using intimidating and/or aggressive and/or confrontational behaviour towards match officials.
He will be suspended from matchday coaching from August 11 to September 22 and will be free to resume matchday coaching on September 22.
The panel comprised Jeremy Summers (chairman), Liz Riley and Peter Budge.
