New Ash Green were able to provide only 13 players, so Worthing agreed to play with 13 to make it an even game.

Within the first 10 minutes, Worthing had turned over a scrum and shipped the ball out to winger Jo Wakeford, who ran the ball over the line.

New Ash Green were quick to fight back and Worthing missed too many opportunities to tackle as the visitors made it 5-5.

Worthing quickly responded and won their own scrum, before Holly Blackhurst broke through a number of tackles to score and captain Lauren Sandford converted. Worthing kept New Ash Green on the back foot and ran in further tries from Blackhurst and Lauren Owens to lead 24-5 at half-time.

New Ash Green came out fighting in the second half but Worthing broke through their defence for Owens to score her second.

Scrum-half Amy Martin had a try disallowed, before Worthing stole the ball from the top of a line-out which enabled winger Martha Gosney to go over. Gosney went on to score two more to complete her hat-trick.
