RUGBY: Worthing win at Havant

WORTHING RAIDERS picked up a vital 55-27 win at fellow strugglers Havant on Saturday (April 4).

The result boosts Raiders chance of safety as they moved up to tenth in National 3 South, level of points with Chinnor and Lydney who sit eleventh and twelfth respectively as they both also won.

Worthing scored eight trys and Ben Coulson kicked 15 points as well as touching down for the Raiders.

Worthing team manager David Hinchcliffe said: "It was an excellent result, things could have been better if Chinnor and Lydney had lost though.

"It wouldn't have been good if they had won and we lost but a win keeps us right up with them."
