SARAH HAS SIGHTS ON OLYMPICS

WEST Sussex rider Sarah Millis started on the path to become an international dressage rider at the tender age of 10.

Her talents saw her selected for British teams at pony, junior and young rider levels, and now, at the age of 26, she has her sights on the 2012 Olympics.

After spending more than three years training with international dressage star Kyra Kyrklund, who is based near Coolham, Sarah has now settled in her own premises at Millstones, Slinfold, where she is focusing on training her own horses and competing with them, as well as training riders and other people's horses.

She has also caught the eye of selectors for the World Class Development Programme, lottery-funded through UK Sport, which is designed to assist in the development of talented riders, maximising their competitive potential through an established training pathway that will see them progress to the Olympic Performance Programme for 2012 and beyond.
