SLIDESHOW: Sussex runners out in force for Morrisons Great South Run

Dozens of Sussex runners took part in the Morrisons Great South Run on Sunday (October 25).

Bright sunshine brought out the best for several of the elite athletes. including GB athlete Jo Pavey, who set a new world over-40 best with her second-placed finish around the streets of Portsmouth and Southsea.

Vivian Cheruiyot served up a distance masterclass, though as she powered to the women’s title.

In the men’s race the top three were Emmanuel Bett, Moses Kipsiro and Emmanuel Kipsang.
