Swans rue a tale of five invisible keepers

FIVE goalkeepers unavailable on Tuesday scuppered Storrington against first division opposition and two mistakes by centre-half Andy Long in the No 1 jersey put paid to them.

Paul Smith having reportedly not been interested this season, Swans had other keepers Neil Gledhill, Alan Meldrum, Ross Leaver and Paul House all unavailable and their signing of Horsham's Gary Elliott failed to beat the 24-hour deadline.

Long, outstanding in hitherto unbeaten Swans' back four, dropped back-passes from Matt Bridle and Chris Watton in the 15th and 68th minutes. Rob Brown capitalised both times and, with his 32nd-minute strike that added up to a hat-trick.
