he 62-57 win at Brixton Topcats was Thunder’s 10th victory in a row and secured a seventh-place finish – and a trip to second-placed Bristol Academy in the last eight on Saturday.

Hildreth insists his side will take one game at a time and said: “Every game is a one-off now. If you lose, you go home.

“We’re obviously thrilled to have reached the play-offs and everyone at the club is proud to have won 10 in a row. But it’s irrelevant to a point if we go and lose the first game of the play-offs.

“Bristol beat us by 30 points in the regular season and we then won at their place by 16, but this is the first time both teams will meet with everyone available.

“To get to the final four weekend would be amazing for everyone at the club. But we’re not looking to just get there, we’re looking to win the play-offs.”

In the other quarter-final ties, champions Reading host Leicester, Essex entertain Tees Valley and Team Northumbria are at home to Leeds. The final four weekend will take place at the Amaechi Basketball Centre in Manchester on April 27 and 28.
