Darts’ dominant force ‘MvG’ is flying high ahead of his visit to the Amex. Last weekend’s Players Championship title was his 25th tournament win of the year – a new record in the sport. Joining Dutch sensation ‘Mighty Mike’ will be fellow Premier League star Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, darts’ most entertaining character turned-pundit Wayne Mardle and rapid thrower Vincent van der Voort. Not only should the action be unmissable but all four players have memorable walk-on routines that help to create the unique and evidently irresistible atmosphere of a night at the arrows. van Gerwen, the odds on favourite for the upcoming World Darts Championship, said: “I’m delighted to be coming to Brighton as there is a big demand for darts.“The first event put on at the football ground sold out so quickly and I’m sure this will be the same. It is at that time of year when we are all preparing for the World Championship too so I will be aiming to be on top form.“I have been doing really well lately and I hope that will continue on Sunday.”A limited number of tickets for the Brighton Darts Masters are available via www.dartshop.tv or by calling the box office on 03450 180 180.
