Worthing bowlers finish the season in style

They beat Norfolk 91-66 in the final after their A team finished runners-up in Division 1 and their B side won promotion from Division 3.

Worthing won three of the four rinks in the final and captain George Youngs described their year afterwards as a “cracking season”.

He said: “We have had a really successful season and it’s really nice when it happens like this.

“Especially after last season, we were almost demoted, which we got away with, so to come back like this is great. This is just the icing on the cake.”
