Spokeswoman Teresa Henley said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the world into lockdowns of varying lengths and severity from March of this year and has changed our lives unimaginably. Since then all those involved in delivering live music have struggled to survive but, due to a deep love of their art, have quickly learned to adapt to keep the flag of music well and truly flying.

“West Sussex Guitar Club has played its role in this by embracing the digital platform. A new vibrant and user friendly website has allowed members to access newsletters, diary of events and videos. A virtual summer party, the annual meet with Dorset Guitar Society and club evenings were made possible by videos of performances given by club members and imaginatively edited by the club's artistic director Sasha Levtov. The standard of playing by adults and children was incredibly high and all have become proficient with the use of technology.

“WSGC is a charity which aims to promote the classical guitar to all ages. the committee and club members hope that all music lovers can attend and enjoy the performance. We would welcome any donations so that we can continue to support musicians during this difficult time.
