CONCERT: In Worthing

A CONCERT of favourite tunes will be performed by JuSSt Voices, Worthing's new choir, at the St Paul's Centre in Chapel Road on Saturday, September 4.

"We'll be taking a new look at great songs from Bach to The Beatles, with some of the most-popular folk songs and best-loved standards thrown in '“ and arranged with a 'twiSSt'," said Jan Spooner Swabey, the choir's founder and conductor.

"We'll also be giving just the second-ever public performance of a piece written specially for us by the distinguished composer Alan Bullard."

JuSSt voices is the successor to the award-winning JSS Singers, which featured for a number of years at the National Festival of Music for Youth, performing several times at the Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

It comprises women of all ages, the youngest being 11.

Tickets are 6.50 and light refreshments are offered from 6.45pm.

The concert is at 8pm.
