A FREE taster creative dance session is on offer to encourage people aged over 60 to express themselves on the dance floor.
The class is the first in a nine-week course and takes place on Tuesday, February 1, from 10.30am-noon, at the Lovett Centre, Lovett Court, Maybridge Square, Goring.
All abilities are welcome, and the course is designed to get people enjoying dancing and moving to music using their imagination, mixing socially and getting some gentle exercise. There no need for a partner. The classes normally cost £2 per session and 50p for refreshments.
Adur and Worthing community well-being officer Julian Stevens said: “Just because someone is collecting their pension doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy the physical pleasures in life such as dancing.
“It’s great exercise, lots of fun in a relaxed and friendly environment where having a cup of tea and a chat are just as important as the dancing.”
