A major new exhibition celebrating the link between novelist Jane Austen and Worthing opens on May 23, running until June 7.
The exhibition is in association with Community First and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
Artistic director from the Worthing WOW (the non-profit organisation behind the exhibition) Melody Bridges said the idea, with associated activities, was to give visitors the opportunity to experience the town as Austen herself would have done, atop a horse-drawn carriage.
Those involved in the organisation of the event, to be held in the Georgian Room, Chatsworth Hotel in Steyne Gardens, include Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, Jane Austen House Museum, All Inclusive History, Worthing Society and History People UK.
The exhibition will run from May 23 to June 7 at the Chatsworth Hotel, Steyne Gardens Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 3DU, and is open daily from 10am-3pm.
