Indie star heads to Worthing to compete for Rumblemania Trophy
Josh Bodom makes his debut at the Assembly Hall next week in the first grappling spectacular of the summer programme that features the annual showdown for the Worthing Rumblemania Trophy.
The impressive Bodom has rocketed to the forefront of the UK independent scene, taking on some of the biggest names in the business, and he is hell-bent on leaving his mark on the Worthing scene in his first appearance on Thursday (July 28).
Among the superstars the powerful Bournemouth bruiser has squared up to recently are American Ring of Honour world champion Jay Lethal and Japanese champion and former ROH television title-holder Tomohiro Ishii.
Bodom’s rivals for the king of the ring crown at the Assembly Hall will include reigning Premier Wrestling Federation Wrestler of the Year Wolf Alexander and new PWF champion “Dazzling” Darrell Allen, who caused a major upset on the last show when he defeated “Wonder Kid” Jonny Storm to take the lightweight title.
“Polish Eagle” Alexander will be bidding to become the first wrestler in history to hold all three main PWF trophies simultaneously following his victories in the Worthing Trophy knockout tournament and the Ken Joyce Trophy.
The line-up for the ten-man, over the top rope battle royal will also include three more international stars, the colourful “Prince of Mumbai” Rishi Ghosh, controversial Colombian ace Jorge Castano, and Spanish star Jeremy Pac, plus local favourite and PWF title-holder Barry Cooper, the only man in the field who has won the rumble trophy before.
The show, which also features tag team and solo bouts in the run-up to the main event, starts at 7.45pm.
Tickets, including special reserved ringside seats and reduced prices for advance bookings, are available from the box office.
