MUSIC: Gruff voices make a sale in Littlehampton

THE intriguingly-named Sussex Gruffs male voice choir, from Worthing, and a garage sale, will raise funds for two good causes rooted in Littlehampton.

On Saturday (April 17), the garage sale will be held at St Joseph's Convent, East Street, Littlehampton, from 11am-4pm by the Friends of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Littlehampton.

Proceeds from the sale will go towards the restoration fund for The Old House, which provides accommodation for visitors to the convent and its nursing home. Refurbishment work has been completed, but more money is still needed.

A wide range of goods will be on sale at bargain prices, including leftover stock from a charity shop run by the Friends in Rustington recently.

The Sussex Gruffs concert will be in the St Joseph's Convent Chapel on Monday, May 10, at 7.30pm. A collection will be taken for the sisters' two missions in India and Peru.
