A CHARITY is hosting two concerts to boost funding for a proposed youth centre in Lancing.
Electric Storm Youth (ESY) is continuing with its plans to build new multi-purpose youth and community facilities on part of the former Freshbrook School site.
To celebrate the talents of local musicians and raise funds for its building programme, ESY is organising two concerts.
The first, A Midsummer Night’s Music, features students from Lancing College, the Oxford Cello Ensemble, Sir Robert Woodard Academy Steel Band, the Sompting Abbotts Chamber Ensemble, the Sussex Wind Quintet and The Boundstone Chorus.
The concert at Lancing College will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 29.
Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 for concessions.
The second, Classics and Cream Teas, takes place at Coombes Church on Sunday, July 3 at 3 pm.
The concert features the Sussex Wind Quintet and cellist Ruth Peskett.
Local singer Juliet James will also perform as well as receive part of the proceeds from the concert for her ongoing musical education.
