THEATRE: Dad's Army at Worthing Connaught Theatre

DAD'S Army will march into Worthing's Connaught Theatre on Monday, March 8 with their new stage show to celebrated 70 years of the Home Guard.

The original creators of Dad's Army, Jimmy Perry and David Croft, present the sequel to their previous stage The Lost Episodes with Leslie Grantham in the role of Private Walker.

Featuring four classic episodes staged in the fictional seaside town of Walmington-on-Sea, the new play Dad's Army Marches On showcases adaptations of the writers' personal favourites, Branded and Mum's Army.

Dad's Army Marches On promises audiences the opportunity to relive the madcap mayhem, memorable catchphrases and superb wit that established Dad's Army as one of Britain's favourite sitcoms in a week of pure nostalgic pleasure.

Tickets for the show, which is showing at the Connaught at 7.30pm from Monday to Saturday, with a 2pm matinee on Wednesday and 2.30pm on Saturday, are 13 to 22.50.
