These are the magistrates’ court results for the Eastbourne area, sitting at Hastings October 13 - October 21.

October 13:

Tara Morgan, 50, of Woodacres Way, Hailsham, indicated guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting a police officer. 
The offences took place at Hailsham on July 12. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Christopher Matthews, 42, of Church Road, Polegate, pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment of a woman by sending numerous messages, emails and vice mails. The offence took place at Eastbourne on July 12. The court made a community order and fined him £350. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Mary Valeriano, 67, of Colwood Crescent, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing toys and games worth £249 from Sainsburys suprmarket at Eastbourne on June 20. She was fined £80.

Priana Cheema, 25, of Faygate Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer.
 The offence took place at Eastbourne on May 3. She also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence made by an earlier court for offences of assault and threatening behaviour. She was sentenced to a total of 16 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was because it was her 14th offence of assault on an emergency worker in a two- year period.

Shelley Cooper, 50, of Gordon Road, Buxted, Uckfield, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Polo on the A22 bypass at Polegate, on August 22, while more than three times over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 119 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. 
The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and banned her from driving for 28 months.

Lochlan McDonald, 20, of Elder Street, Wimbisgh, Saffron Walden, Essex, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Eastbourne on August 23, 
He was fined £300 and banned from driving for 15 months.
