Cyclists urged to attend bus blind spots demo
Brighton and Hove Buses has got together with Brighton and Hove City Council, East Sussex Fire and Rescue and Sussex Police to offer cyclists a chance to sit in the cab of a double decker bus and see for themselves what a driver can and can’t see when a cyclist is moving towards them.
Ed Knight, of Brighton and Hove Buses, said: “This is the second of these events. We held one up at Sussex University and it was a huge success. Dozens of students and lecturers took turns to sit in the cab while my colleague Darren Eaton from the fire service cycled towards the bus: first cutting in behind it and then moving towards the front on the off-side.
