Fears local plan could turn Arun into housing ‘sprawl’
That was the view of one councillor at a meeting of Arun District Council’s local plan sub-committee, in which members discussed where homes in Arun should be built.
At the previous local plan sub-committee meeting, councillors had approved recommendations from the Strategic Housing Market Assessment, which said the council needed to prepare to build 580 homes a year.

Hide AdThat figure will be debated by the council in January, though the local plan sub-commitee has already spent £20,000 for a report which concluded the figure was not excessive.
On Thursday, council officers produced a report which outlined where the new homes should be built.
