Firefighters tackle derelict St Leonards building fire

Four East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service fire engines from Bexhill and Hastings, including the Aerial Ladder Platform, were sent to Chapel Park Road after reports of the fire at 9.25pm.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used 1-in-7 foam and one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.

Hide AdThe fire was brought under control and the crews spent time damping down at the incident before leaving the scene.
Yesterday (August 1), Hastings firefighters were sent to St Helens Road following reports of an accidental rubbish bin fire at around 6.15pm, which was extinguished using buckets of water.
