It’s Lights Out in Rother to commemorate First World War
A total of five key venues in Rother will be turning all but one light out between 10pm and 11pm – when, a century ago, Britain declared war on Germany.
The De La Warr Pavilion, Rother Council Town Hall, Rye Town Council, Battle Town Council and Bexhill Museum will be plunged into darkness with the exception of a solitary light as part of the nationwide Lights Out event.

It is a fitting tribute to all those who gave their lives in the First World War if we encourage as many people as possible to join us in this commemoration.”
